Project Scope

The courtyard redesign at University of Canberra was a collaborative initiative led by students and staff, delivering a functional and inclusive outdoor space. Terra Mater Group undertook full landscape construction works, including excavation, site preparation, raised planter construction, tree and shrub planting, herringbone brick paving, and installation of communal tables and seating areas.

The design prioritised accessibility, with all surfaces and furniture carefully detailed for wheelchair access. The completed courtyard integrates hardscape and softscape elements, creating a light-filled, durable, and welcoming environment for study, social interaction, and relaxation within the campus landscape.
